Here are some random facts about me...
1) I'm an only child
2) I was born in Omaha, Nebraska but moved to California when I was 4 years old.
3) I grew up in a tight knit rural community in the Northern California mountains. The nearest town, population 2,000, was 11 miles away...it was a big deal to travel over an hour away once a month to do major shopping.
4) I was a member of 4-H since I was 9 years old, and learned how to cook and sew in that program.
5) I raised 4-H beef to earn money for college.
6) My favorite color is purple.
7) I love chocolate, but prefer salty over sweet foods.
8) We don't own an animal, but I'm obsessed with English Bulldogs (my high school mascot) and Welsh Terriers. I would have a dog if my husband weren't allergic.
9) I drive a Mini Cooper - I'm on my third model. It just fits me since I'm stretching it to say I'm 5 feet tall.
10) I love all things French.
11) I have three grown children and my husband has one grown daughter. All but one live within 15 minutes from us. My youngest lives only 1 1/2 hours away.
12) We have three grandchildren - a grandson, who catered his parent's 25th Wedding Anniversary...
and a set of mirror twin girls.
13) I retired from teaching Family and Consumer Sciences after 35 years.
14) Since retiring, I spend my time reading, knitting, sewing, practicing watercolor painting, learning French and volunteering for our local Soroptimist Chapter.
15) I've been interested in Interior Design and Architecture for as long as I can remember.
16) My favorite design influences are Scandinavian, Mid-Century Modern & Art Deco
17) I'm embracing light walls accented with natural wood elements. Furniture and accessories must have soul.
18) Health and fitness is important to me.
19) Mountains over beach any day - did someone way TAHOE???
20) We love to travel and have visited all but one continent.
